Our origin
Every family deserves stability, opportunity, and community.
Spirit Refuge Foundation did not begin in a boardroom. It began in a calling. Founders Sarath and Joel K-Crystal brought together decades of experience in education, case management, counseling, and community service to address a clear and urgent need.
Driven by the belief that every family deserves stability, opportunity, and community, they built a people-first organization rooted in dignity, compassion, and real results.
Launched in 2025 through outreach addressing food insecurity and family support, the foundation is building connected programs to address the root causes of instability.

Our founders
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Educator, youth advocate, and community leader with experience in case management, education, program leadership, and residential care. Holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and is pursuing an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University.
